In July 2024, Educada Director of Programs Caden Choi was invited to speak at the Small School District Association’s Superintendents and High School Leaders Summit. The SSDA represents two-thirds of the school districts in California and represents geographically diverse regions across the state. Attendees included over 150 California superintendents of schools and high school principals/educators. Caden spoke on Educada’s mission of journalistic outreach to students through in-person and virtual journalist visits, as well as through exposure to global and underrepresented news. She also shared about writing workshops which give students an opportunity to voice their unique ideas. “It was a busy three days meeting with so many incredible educators across the state.” – Caden Choi
